For lunch, we ate downstairs at “The Bay” for the first time. As mentioned in Day 3, "The Bay" offers several “American” food options, and I opted for Subway today and went with a good ole turkey sub. To drink…Snapple Apple. PF-the Snapple Fact of the Day was “A hummingbird weighs less than a penny". Although we are in the middle of Monsoon Season, during lunch today was really the first rain that I have seen thus far. However, the moonsoon has been no stranger in Mumbai recently.
This evening we decided to venture out on the town and went to the Forum Mall in Koramangala. This is a four story mall with a wide range of merchants along with a movie theatre on the top floor. There were actually a few movies playing that are also currently playing in the U.S. (The Proposal, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince). I believe ordinarily these movies are shown in English, but also they use English subtitles so that the locals can better follow. In addition, there were several Indian film options from Bollywood.
We had our driver take us up to the mall from the residences, but the return trip was my first venture on an auto rickshaw. The rain earlier in the day brought very pleasant temperatures this evening, so it turned out to be a great night for an auto ride. And, we definitely got back to the residences quicker than if we would have our driver take us.Here are a few videos I thought I would share. I apologize in advance for the unstable video as the cars don’t necessarily have the best shocks (if any). All of the videos I have been sharing are being shot with a Flip video camera, which I have become a huge fan of. The quality of the camera and simplicity is amazing considering the price of $150-200.
This video offers a glimpse at some of the cows that just roam in the medians and in the roads whenever they feel like it.

Those cows are great. You'd think Chik Fil A would do very well over in India???
